I am writing to provide you with information about the Esports club I will be leading this year. We will meet each Thursday after school for an hour to practice and develop our skills, focusing on teamwork, strategic thinking, and communication. Our objective is to collaborate with other high school esports programs within LAUSD and participate in friendly matches.
Mr. Salceda
Dear Esports Coaches and Leads,
Thank you for participating in LAUSD’s inaugural Esports Season in Rocket League for Secondary Schools. The virtual playoffs will begin on March 24th-28th and culminate in an in-person competition for the LAUSD Esports Championship on March 29th at The Beehive at SoLA.
Schedule:
LAUSD Season: 2/10/25 - 3/21
(6 weeks - Online GenE will manage all scheduling)
LAUSD Playoffs: 3/24/25 - 3/28/25
(4 days - Online GenE will manage all scheduling)
LAUSD Secondary Esports Championship: 3/29/25
(In Person @ The Beehive at Sola)
We are happy to announce that registration for the Championship Event is now open! All schools that participated in the season are invited for a day of competition, fun, and innovative learning. Please register your school's Esports team/s as soon as possible for us to prepare for your transportation to the event. For program support your Principal has been added to this communication.
To ensure a smooth process, please follow these instructions:
Event Registration:
Visit the Registration Folder and locate your school’s document. Please do not access nor edit other school’s documents.
Fill out all required information accurately and completely. Include the following:
Parents: due to limited seating capacity, a maximum of 2 parents/family members for each student competitor can join the event. Please be sure to include their names and information on the registration form.
Chaperones: the coach is required to be on the bus with the students and will serve as the main point of contact. Provide additional chaperones as necessary; one chaperone for every 10 students.
Administrators and school support staff: a maximum of 2 support staff per school can register for the event.
Double-check all information before submitting the form. Once the form is complete, please tag @[email protected] by adding a comment on the doc.
The deadline to register your teams is Friday, February 28, 2025. Please ensure you complete the registration process by this date to secure your spot and to reserve your bus.
Schedule your field trip to attend the Esports Championship at The Beehive at SoLa located at 1000 E. 60th St., Los Angeles, CA 90001
Visit ifieldtrip website to access and complete the online field trip request system. View this job aid to assist you in completing ifieldtrip properly.
Ensure that signed LAUSD media release forms are in place for each student. These should have been submitted and filed at each school for each student. If not, provide a copy for parents/guardians to sign.
School nurses must review the health records of all students attending to ensure they are cleared to be transported on the bus and participate in the event. Please make sure to work with your school administration and nursing unit to complete this requirement at least 3 weeks prior to the March 29th event.
Bus schedules will be provided by LAUSD once you register. Your school principal must approve your participation.
A light breakfast and boxed lunches will be provided to school attendees registered. Vegan and vegetarian options will be provided. Should you or a member of your school team have specific dietary restrictions, please email Dominic Caguioa at [email protected].
For any questions or additional information you may need, please reach out to [email protected].
We look forward to seeing your school's teams at Game On!
Sincerely,
iDREAM Esports Team
