It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your student to attend San Pedro High School’s School for Advanced Studies (SAS) Visitation Day on Friday, March 6, 2026.  The SAS program will be offering the opportunity for interested students to visit the school, meet with current SAS Leadership students, and observe SAS classes. 
 
The SAS Visitation Day is designed for accepted students to allow for a preview of a typical instructional day, and as an opportunity to interact with current SAS students and faculty.  Prospective students and their parents will be able to observe the rigor of instruction, classroom dynamic, and sense of community the SAS program provides; as well as ask questions of teachers and students.
 
The Visitation Day will begin with SAS Leadership students meeting the visiting students and parents at the Leland Street entrance to the school beginning at 8:20 a.m.  We will then host a “meet and greet” social session and presentation from 8:30-9:15 in the student cafeteria with the Principal, the SAS Coordinator and Counselor, the Parent Representative, and SAS Leadership students.  The students (and interested parents) will then be divided into small groups for a series of 10-minute observations of classrooms of various grade levels and content areas.  The visits will end by 10:30, and students will be escorted to the Leland Street entrance to depart.   
 
Participation in Visitation Day will be limited, and prior reservations will be required, to allow for a more personalized experience.  To reserve a spot for Visitation Day, please use the following link:
