This year’s race was significantly hotter and drier than usual. Due to the extreme conditions, race organizers offered runners the option to stop at Mile 18 and still receive a Finisher’s Medal.
We are incredibly proud to say that no SPHS student or coach took the easy way out. Every participant pushed through and completed the entire 26.2-mile marathon.
After seven months of training, these students ran one of the hottest LA Marathons in nearly a decade, showing incredible discipline, grit, and heart.
By finishing the race, they are now part of the 1% of the global population who can say they have run a marathon.
Please congratulate our SPHS Marathon Finishers:
- Alston P.
- Alexis L.
- Connor L.
- Elias V.
- Suvan V.
- Brayan V.-L.
Your dedication, perseverance, and Pirate pride inspire our entire school community. Congratulations!
